We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in both 1:1 and small group settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children who face challenging circumstances, and you will play a key role in promoting their learning and personal development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with SEND, helping to ensure their learning needs are met effectively.
  • Assist with group work, supporting students in small groups to enhance their learning experience.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to plan and deliver appropriate learning activities.
  • Manage challenging behaviour with a positive and proactive approach, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing their social and emotional skills, providing encouragement and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a SEND setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
  • Passionate about supporting students with additional needs and making a positive difference in their education.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
