Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities? Grade A Recruitment is seeking a dynamic SENDCo to join a reputable junior school in Norwich. As the SENDCo, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What do we expect from you?

  • Coordinate the provision of support for students with SEND across the school.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.
  • Liaise with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor the progress of students with SEND and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on best practices for supporting students with SEND.
  • Keep abreast of changes in SEND legislation and best practice and ensure that school policies and procedures remain compliant.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SENDCo qualification
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude, with a commitment to going above and beyond for students.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation, policies, and procedures.
