We are looking for a dedicated educator to start in September 2025. This position offers fantastic flexibility, with options for either full-time or part-time commitment to suit the right candidate’s needs.
About The Role:
As a Spanish Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7-11), potentially extending to Key Stage 5 (A-Level) depending on experience and school need. You will foster a love for the Spanish language and culture, encouraging students to develop strong communication skills and a deeper understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Spanish lessons to students at various Key Stages, catering to diverse learning abilities.
- Creating a positive, immersive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation in language acquisition.
- Utilising a range of teaching methods to engage students and promote fluency and accuracy in Spanish.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum.
- Participating in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Fostering strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, and actively engaging in the wider school community.
- Potentially preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations in Spanish.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A relevant degree in Spanish or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Spanish across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a UK secondary school.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Passion for the Spanish language and culture, with a genuine desire to impart this enthusiasm to pupils.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
